How Much to Feed

Adult dogs should be fed 2-3% of their total body weight over 2 meals daily

Multiple your dog's weight with the following:

.02 inactive or overweight

.025 normal activity/maintain current weight

.03 very active pets or gain weight

Then take this total and multiple by 16 to get the amount in ounces that you should be feeding daily.

Puppies should be fed 5% of their weight over 2-3 meals a day.  

Very small breed puppies should eat more often, 4-6 times a day to avoid hypoglycemia.

Dehydrated Feeding 

CATS

Adult cats should be fed 3% of their total body weight over 2 meals daily 

Multiple your cat's weight with the following:

.02 inactive or overweight

.025 normal activity/maintain current weight

.03 very active pets or gain weight

Kittens need at least 5% of their body weight daily (about ¼ lb per 10 lbs. of body weight). This can be divided into at least 2 meals,  3 meals per day is ideal.
